Oh man, Omen.

So, while before we got going on the philosopher’s walk, we stopped at a place that was recommended in our guidebook called ‘Omen.’ Essentially, it’s a place that sells udon noodles. There was a bit of a line, but when we finally were seated, there was a menu in English, which is always nice but in this place pretty unnecessary, since they only really serve one thing, noodles. Alison and I order a large and Alison ordered some sautéed mushrooms for a side.

Once we got our noodles, we learned how to eat Udon. Basically, you get a nice plate of veggies, such as green onions, ginger, green beans, and a few other things we could identify, which you add to your bowl of broth. Then you take some noodles, swirl them in the broth, and eat! Very, very delicious, and deceptively simple.
